Hey! I’m Debbie, and I design laser-friendly SVG files from my home in the North West of England where I live with my husband, our 2 daughters (5 and 7) and the cutest cat Willow.

I first got into laser cutting about a decade ago now when a passion for hiking turned into a business selling maps on coasters. With a background in Graphic Design and a lot of time spent working digitally, I loved the magic of turning a flat file into something you can actually hold.

These days, I still run Alp & Ash in the background but my focus is on this new venture: inspiring others to get creative with their lasers.

  • I can’t start the day without… a bowl of granola, filter coffee, and the NYT games app: Connections, Mini, Wordle and Strands - usually in that order.

  • My laser-cutting soundtrack is… often a podcast. Current faves are ‘Miss Me?’, ‘The Making an Effort Podcast’, ‘The Rest is Entertainment’ and ‘The Louis Theroux Podcast’.

  • The most boring thing I’ve ever laser-cut is… a cutlery drawer insert for our touring caravan - total game-changer though!

  • When I’m not making something on the laser… I’m probably making something off the laser. I’m drawn to every craft out there and definitely have way too many supplies to show for it!
